So began my journey towards perfection for my husband.  Did I find it at Netherby - no - what I found far outweighed perfection.

I discovered nursing staff who were kind and non-abusive to the people in their care.  Their kindness has also extended to me personally - being driven to Hornsby Hospital and then home to West Pymble.

I think I prefer humanity rather than perfection.  By the way, Netherby was the first and only nursing home I visited - you can have the beautiful buildings, the landscaped gardens, large car parks, designer furnished rooms - give my husband and me people who really care.

Mum has since been joined by her husband in double accommodation - the DT Dept organise a great variety of activities for stimulation, exercise and pleasure.  A great deal of thought goes into making a fortnightly bus trip as interesting as possible for the residents able to participate.

The general atmosphere at Netherby is a happy one and is family orientated.  We feel mum is in good hands.
